We started in Dhaka with a simple question: why should where you live determine the quality of education you receive?
Shikho was founded in 2020 by Shahir Chowdhury, a Dhaka native who watched bright students fail exams not because they lacked potential, but because they lacked access to quality instruction.
Working from a small office in Banani, Shahir and a team of three built the first version of Shikho in three months. It launched with 12 courses and 200 students. Within a year, it had grown to serve over 50,000 learners across Bangladesh.
Today, Shikho is backed by Anchorless Bangladesh and trusted by more than 500,000 students preparing for HSC, SSC, and university entrance exams. The mission has not changed: make the best teachers in Bangladesh accessible to every student, regardless of where they live.
Meet the Team
The two principles that guide every decision at Shikho.
To make Bangladesh's best educators and learning resources accessible to every student — whether they live in Dhaka or a remote district — at a price that does not exclude anyone.
A Bangladesh where academic outcomes are determined by effort and talent, not by geography, income, or access to private tutors. We are building the platform that makes that possible.
Real outcomes from real students across Bangladesh.
The principles that shape how we build and why we build it.
Every educator on Shikho is reviewed and approved. We do not compromise on teaching quality, ever.
We price our platform to be accessible to families across all income levels, including free-tier access for core content.
Our platform is designed around the realities of the Bangladesh education system, its curriculum, and its students.
